I Made A Photoshop 101 Course Specifically For The Photography Industry

Just the other day, I was retouching (a.k.a. living life) and I realized that I had been using Photoshop for over half my life. It started on Photoshop 6.0 and I can still paint the journey that I took in my mind.

I recall the time when I began, how many tutorials I must have gone through just to pick up any useful tips that I could piece together into my workflow. I'd even follow along random tutorials just to learn the tools. Great, I can make fire! And when YouTube came along, I'd be further confused with all the video tutorials that had different methods. I didn't know who to believe? And a lot of introductory courses cover things that aren't related to photographers in specific either and from someone who isn't working in the industry today.

No wonder it took forever just to figure it out!

I started working with RGG EDU recently, and after seeing the course with Erik Almas, I was so damn blown away by their production. They were sticklers like me.

I mean, just look at their video Reel.

They were able to present the material I spent years accumulating in a fashion that matched my level of detail.

So to start with, I created a Photoshop 101 course that allows anyone to learn Photoshop even if they haven't used it before. It's also for people who are missing the fundamentals and need to piece the loose ends together.

I put everything into this, so I do believe you will find value in it. If you've seen anything I've done before, you know I am very serious about only sharing when it is useful.

We also kept it cheap so anyone can afford to pick it up. I mean, no one really has time to piece together YouTube videos or go through a Photoshop course that has way more than they actually would need for photography right? That was the mission.

This is the video I made for my former self searching for what he needed to know. And perhaps a video you can recommend to someone who is starting out as well. Unless you hate them.

Coming up soon, there will be a course on Capture One, and a Photoshop 201 curriculum that goes in depth on everything.
