My MacBook Pro "Goodnight Moon" Parody Is Actually Putting Babies To Sleep
A few years ago when I first began producing digital educational content, I would get messages from people saying I had a soothing voice and how some people would watch my tutorials just to calm down and sleep easier.
Clearly, Gary Martin from RGGEDU was listening very closely. So this time when I went over to record my upcoming retouching tutorial, they decided to also use that as an opportunity to get me to read a bedtime story for Christmas. Goodnight Moon was a children's classic for over 50 years.
At the last moment, we had an idea!
What if we adapted the story to today and made it about the MacBook Pro? Sean from RGG came up with these lyrics in no time. We centered it around a fireplace and decided to buy a Christmas tree that same day. We wrapped a bunch of presents and storyboarded the entire thing. Now here we are, with "Goodnight Pros"!
But the ultimate star on this tree is the fact that it actually put a baby to sleep!
Lo and behold, Alex Baker happily informed me that this modern day lullaby, in fact, works as intended.
Alex, I truly hope you don't have to listen to this over and over to get the little one to sleep. However, if it does the trick, we'll happily make more lullabies for the future photographer in your life.
As soon as I thought it was done, more mothers have sent in messages letting me know that their little angels are now down for the count!
Now it has me curious. If you're a parent and this video actually worked, please send me a note (solsticeretouch@gmail.com)! I'm curious to see if this actually works more often.
