(Arrival: May 6 to the 12th)
Cat is a resident of Iceland and when I first came across her work, I was so intrigued by the way she captures Iceland. As opposed to the brooding and dark view we often see, she has this bright and pastel filled scenes that capture the imagination! She is constantly working and traveling all over the country and through her, I’ve been able to see Iceland in a way I haven’t seen before. Naturally, I reached out and we connected so well! Through her leadership, we designed a week-long itinerary that is sure to be packed with adventures and unforgettable memories. With her understanding of how the country works and changes constantly, she was able to ensure every aspect is accounted for from the beginning of the trip till the end.
To learn more about Cat, check out this recent video! You can also see her work here on her Instagram.
Iceland is a bucket list item for many people, and being able to shoot together with a world-class model, styling, and assistants in new exotic locations each day is something that I want to be unforgettable.
We’ve spent weeks curating our locations, as we start in Reykjavik and head North as per the map. We’ll have a dedicated driver and van to take all of us together. The hotels and locations are all planned out and accounted for!
We usually end up bonding so closely as lifelong friends over a course of the week, and each experience is unforgettable. We all bring something unique to the table, so this is not just a getaway, but an opportunity to advance ourselves as creatives as well.
This is an open ended event where our main focus is shooting and exploring each day. Bring your laptop, your files, and your camera. The trip is perfect to explore your creativity while having a vacation. This is an open ended trip and we’re happy to impart whatever you’re looking to learn with hands-on education through the trip. Cat and I are really excited about sharing and there’s no better way to learn than being on location together.
Besides Cat, our model, our driver (tenative), a dedicated assistant, and myself, we’ll only be allowing 5 spots on this trip total. We’ll be there to help assist and guide you each step of the way so we can all work together to create beautiful work!
We will be ensuring each person going is interviewed to ensure we all get along great. We wanted to keep it limited so we can find people that all add something special to the group dynamic, while still getting along great! You must be easy going, excited to create, and open to meeting new and like-minded creatives!
Selkie will not be available for our dates and I am currently securing a fantastic model.
Styling and Additional Team
Along with our model, we may be enlisting additional local models and makeup artists at different parts of our journey.
We’re also working on bringing unique styling to compliment her and the environment from designers.
If you would like to bring your own styling as well, you are welcome to! The more the merrier!
From beautiful waterfalls, scenic drives along Fjords, waffles and hot chocolate at small town cafes, geothermal lagoons, Volcanos (pending on natural variables), alien rock formations on land and water, old churches, infinity pools across the ocean, and impromptu stops, we’ve got a wide variety of locations planned. Below is just a taste of the backdrops we’ll be using as a canvas to our shoots, and places we’ll get to relax in! There is so much more but we don’t want to spoil it all with photos, we want you to experience it as it unfolds.
Some locations may not be possible and is based on the weather and how the itinerary plays out on the fly.
Includes:
