Behind The Image: Cosmic Eye By Cris Magsino
There's something infinitely magical about this image, and I had to ask Cris to tell me more about his image and how he created it! I was impressed to find out it was different than what I had expected. It's amazing what post processing can do these days.

Cosmic Eye
On our way to the Horseshoe Bend in Arizona, we chanced upon the place that offered tours to explore Antelope X, a similar place with the famous Upper and Lower Antelope but this place is less crowded. Lucky for us we arrived as the last group to be escorted through the canyon. This meant that we had the place all to ourselves, and yes, we where able to explore the place at our pace with a very friendly guide.
Although the company offers night tours for astro shooters, we did not have the luxury of time for it. Thats why this shot is a “what could have been shot” if we had the time for the night tour. The main shot was taken in the afternoon. I adjusted the colours and temperature in post to make it look like a night/ blue hour shot. Then I composited my Milky Way shot in post to complete the picture and color-toned the composite. Although this is a composite shot, I am pretty happy with how it turned out as it ended up looking natural. Overall, this place provided for some unique shots for me that are worthy for my portfolio.
