Look At How Scary Good Artificial Intelligence Has Become

Artificial Intelligence makes another leap in its ability to impress us like some sort of magic trick that isn't a trick at all. In this recent example by NVIDIA, the AI took photos that had text all over them and completely removed it without even needing clean sample images. 

I don't understand what kind of magic this is. Not only was that good enough, the AI was also able to take really noisy images that looked like it was shot on a potato, and made them quite usable. 

The AI was developed by researchers at NVIDIA, MIT, and Aalto University. It was trained on 50,000 photos and it was able to generate impressive results. 

It makes me wonder how close we're getting to automated retouching or how close we're getting to people using this technology for the wrong reasons. It will become almost indistinguishable.
