How To Make Facebook Great Again By Blocking Political Posts
No matter your opinion, if you've ever wanted to turn off political posts on FB, I found this Chrome extension that allows you to turn them off.
It's called "Politics Blocker" and you get it here: link.
The good news is if you want to see every post, you can simply disable the extension temporarily. This is great so that you can still see what your friends are saying about current events. During the times when it becomes too much, you can enable it.
When installed, this is what your neewsfeed will look like when it finds a political post, blocking it before you can see it.
Memes and photos don't seem to get blocked as it's not text based.
Where can this come in handy?
It's amazing people are making their voice heard. But sometimes you want to just see what your friends are up to, otherwise it can get lost. It can get pretty depressing constantly being reminded of the same story for the entire day. Also, some of the posts are inflammatory websites with false information, so instead you may want to get your news elsewhere instead.
I personally visit Associated Press News (https://www.apnews.com/) and Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/) as I find them pretty neutral and informative.
