I know it’s hard to believe, but this beautiful model has no feelings or emotions. Why? Because it’s not even real. No studio was rented, no lights setup, the entire shoot never happened. No photos were taken.

On March 12th, it was our last day in public before we went into self-quarantine. We were in London but we placed great care and precaution in every step we made. With as much public avoidance as possible, we also had a glimpse of what London was like during this uncertain period. I decided to keep camera in hand to document what it was like.

“SCARS” is aimed at photographing subjects living with scars to allow them the ability to tell their stories to change how they view themselves, how society views them, and how they can encourage people living with scars.

This body of work was created with simplicity of background for all subjects, different lighting scenarios, and the relationship between different personalities with their scars.
